Dec 02, 2010 · It sounds like you're trying to get widescreen support on BF2 a lot of the battlefield games have to have an added item in the start line. on your desktop icon, right click it and choose properties. on the target line add +widescreen 1 and see if that fixes your issue.

Nov 05, 2012 · Widescreen Support WARNING: FOLLOWING METHOD DOES NOT WORK WITH ALL VERSIONS OF THE GAME (especially for 1920x1200 custom resolution). Battlefield 1942 does not have native widescreen support. To use custom resolutions, navigate to Battlefield 1942\Mods\bf1942\Settings\Profiles\Custom and open the file Video.con in Wordpad.
