Support for Women. Any woman who has experienced abuse in an intimate relationship, childhood sexual abuse or adult sexual assault may access our services. Abuse takes many different forms and BWSS recognizes all types of abuse. Every woman has the right to be safe and free from violence.
Our specialized counseling programs are designed to support adults, adolescents and children impacted by partner abuse. Our Morris Family Justice Center, led by JBWS, provides support and legal resources through a collaboration of partner agencies who will work together to answer questions and coordinate services.

They can provide emotional support, peer counseling, safe emergency housing, information, and other services whether you decide to stay or leave the relationship. Build as strong a support system as your partner will allow. Whenever possible, get involved with people and activities outside your home and encourage your children to do so.
Women Helping Battered Women believes that all women and children have the right to live without fear of battering, sexual, physical, emotional, or financial. Their vision is an end of physical, sexual, emotional and economic abuse.

Women’s Support Services, Inc., (WSS), is a non-profit domestic violence agency serving Northwest Connecticut and the surrounding communities in New York and Massachusetts.
