Oct 23, 2016 · Dell was being lienent in terms of enforcing their policy , which you took advantage of, and have every right to start enforcing it without informing thier costumers. There is no need to inform anyone of an existing policy. You paid for basic support and that is what you are getting.

Jul 07, 2017 · I called Dell 800 number to get an warranty extension on an existing Dell PowerEdge server and the rep who picked the phone says that Basic hardware warranty does not cover hard drives. And only Pro support covers hard drives.
