We are in the process of planning a project which utilises Hyper-V 2012 virtualisation on Windows Server 2012 servers. I appreciate that Backup Exec 2012 will need to be installed on a Windows 2008 server, however I have yet to find any conclusive information that confirms it will be able to backup the Hyper-V 2012 environment remotely.

At the moment, Backup Exec does not support Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V. You still have to wait some time if you're going to use BE to backup newer Hyper-V. Of course, you have option to backup virtual machines running on 2012 Hyper-V using Backup Exec agent, if you're running supported operating systems.
