Aug 08, 2012 · Have looked through the threads and found what appears to be the same problem - "TR/ATRAPS.Gen2". I have followed the Redirect and Malware guides and still have the issue with Avira popping up - finding the above virus. Also the virus' detected were as follows from Avira: Object Detection services.exe W32/Patched.UA

May 12, 2009 · Also Saturday or Sunday, Avira popped up with a possible trojan infestation TR/ATRAPS.Gen was found in 28 locations including my recovery drive (D). I believe that I have done all the prerequisite steps prior to posting to the best of my ability. The only step I did not do was emptying the quarantine folders of my Antivir.

Jun 25, 2012 · Yesterday, I was browsing the internet when my Avira started saying it caught 2 viruses or unwanted programs: TR/ATRAPS.Gen2 TR/Sirefef.AG.35 I told avira to remove it, then the same warning popped up. Did it again. Eventually, I had to restart my computer, because of Avira's scans after removing it. Had 4 scans going that were hung.
