If recording with Lookaround enabled, Apple ProRes and Avid DNxHD/HR record the entire image, including the Lookaround area outside of the frame guides. By contrast, R3D only records the image inside the frame guides, and does NOT record the Lookaround area. Recording the Lookaround area adds more data to the file, so the file is larger.
