May 31, 2013 · WARNING: No NSS support for mDNS detected, consider installing nss-mdns! I am using avahi for zero-conf networking. I have cross compiled it for the mips. I am able to run it very well. It is assigning IP address automatically to board. But I am getting this warning when I run the avahi-daemon. I have searched the forums for this.

@jagradang said in Avahi: "Failed to create client object: Daemon not running":. I'm trying to get this working at the moment too but no luck. Same messages in the logs as above. I can cast to firestick, smart tv and chrome cast if i connect wifi to the vlan containing all these devices.
