Mar 15, 2011 · Audacity doesn't support ASIO unless you compile the coding yourself, which looks to be pretty complicated. ASIO is a proprietary technology of Steinberg and it would be a violation of copyright laws for Audacity, which is free, to include Steinberg's copyrighted code, which is NOT free.

Currently, Audacity does not support ASIO and so therefore runs off Windows inbuilt audio driver. As the Windows inbuilt audio driver only supports a maximum of two inputs and two outputs, regardless of the I/O count of your Focusrite interface, Audacity will only ever see the first two inputs and outputs of your device.
