Sep 20, 2019 · So for those wondering, here's what happened. It ISN'T the GPU, or the drivers. You CAN get a Radeon HD 3850 AGP working in Windows 7x64. So for the Asrock Dual 939-Sata2, the only chipset drivers are for Windows XP. HOWEVER, Asrock apparently later came out with a Dual 939-VSTA board, which is exactly the same. Mar 06, 2008 · AMD.ATI dont make the AGP graphics cards, if a 3rd party wants to make an AGP card instead of a PCIe one they can since its an addon chip to the PCIe design plus whatever extra for added voltage since AGP and PCIe have different power interfaces etc. Doesn't mean that drivers are going to be produced for it right away since ATI have to add support.

Summary of AGP chipsets and support off the top of my head: Intel: Last chipset was from 2004 (i865), official GART for XP and supported by Microsoft's generic AGP driver from Vista through Windows 10 build 1511.
