Apr 10, 2004 · Bottom line is that ATi's Radeon 9800 Pro Retail is the card to have, if you want serious fun on your Mac. I wonder how it will perform on sub- 1 Ghz G4's in an AGP 2x slot. Still the control panel will work. BTW, there is NO ADC port on it, and also needs an internal power supply.

Nov 05, 2009 · The 9800 Pro is fully supported in OS X and the G5. Could be the card is getting too hot. This is the most common ailment of the 9800 Pro. is the fan working properly? A much better card is the Geforce 6800 Ultra DDL. Very fast. The Geforce is an OEM card, but flashed 6800 Ultra and GT cards are as good, and a bit cheaper.
