Oct 31, 2013 · I have just updated to windows 8 and I now have a black border on my monitor. On windows 7 with the Catalyst Control Center I could set the scaling/over scan to 0 to get rid of this border. However, now that I'm on windows 8 it has installed a built in driver: 'ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM v1.1)'

Oct 26, 2013 · Previous to upgrading to Windows 8.1, the game worked on my system with Windows 8. It looks to me like there is no non-generic driver for ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series on Windows 8.1 Any suggestions or ideas how to resolve this?

Feb 04, 2016 · The driver is dated Jan 2015 and is version 8.970.100.9001. It looks like AMD provided the driver specifically to support HD 4000 series cards on Windows 10. While AMD provided the driver, my understanding is that it is only available thru Windows Update and is the only driver for AMD HD4000 series Graphics with Windows 10 support.
