Feb 06, 2008 · From what I have heard the current Mac Pro can support either 2 x 8800GT's or 2 x 3870's as far as the energy requirements go, however, within Leopard its not going to do either Crossfire or SLI, but will function as two individual graphic cards, note the 3870 is not officially supported in OSX, however under windows it is very likely that the two 3870's would support corssfire I believe due ...

We haven't looked at ATI CrossFire in great detail as yet. But my feeling is that is probalby only works for full screen 3D apps and like nVidia's SLI solution there is a hard coded list of games in the device driver, and if an application isn't on the hard coded list, CrossFire does nothing.

Feb 10, 2008 · It would be more likely to see Crossfire support. Since ATI is nicer about it than Nvidia. Of course games would still need to be SLI/Crossfire aware. Although that may not be the case if the X2/GX2 cards are used as they can show up as one card versus two.

Apr 24, 2009 · ATI CrossFire Xtension allows you to create custom profiles that will force CrossFire (ATI multi-GPU solution) support on non-supported, or new, games and applications. Remember, this is only a temporary solution for CrossFire problems, as ATI themselves must update drivers to have true proper CrossFire support for new games.

Sep 19, 2019 · AMD did do a good job of improving DX11 Crossfire Support on AAA titles following RX480 launch for sure. It can be made to work well.I have no idea how much effort it took, though, but since dual RX480 in DX11 Crossfire or DX12 MultiGPU was the only thing AMD had to fight the GTX1080 at the time I guess it must have been a priority. CrossFire™ technology requires an AMD CrossFire™ Ready motherboard, an AMD CrossFire™ Bridge Interconnect (for each additional graphics card) and may require a specialized power supply. Posted by Manuel@NVIDIA: “Replacing ATI HD5670 CrossFire” Well, this is an Alienware Aurora, so the OP has got both SLI and Crossfire capabilities for sure, plus PSU power to spare (Alienware uses mobos that are certified for both and have minimum 1000 watt PSUs).

Dec 08, 2018 · Crossfire and SLI were amazingly supported in BF4 after a few updates with that games early fuck-ups. Kinda surprised at Dice for this since they championed both Crossfire officially and SLI with usual driver updates in the earlier BF games. I owned both AMD and Nvidia cards since BF1942 and both forms of support were awesome.
