Mar 08, 2008 · I have a 6-year-old home-built PC using an ASUS P4B266-C mobo and an Intel P4 1.6A GHz Northwood processor. The current Bios is Award Bios v. 1006. The User Manual says the max CPU it will take is a P4 2.4+ (whatever the plus means) Northwood CPU. The ASUS website chart says a P4 2.2 is the max CPU.
