Jun 03, 2005 · There is a special IDE connector on the ASUS motherboard for this purpose. I set up the BIOS for Promise controller set to RAID. I moved the single hard drive from its connection to the Primary IDE and then put two WD160MB hard drives on the 80wire ribbon connected to the IDE RAID connector.

Sep 04, 2012 · Please do keep trying to problem solve while we wait for the guys at ASUS first replicating and then resolving these issues. If for what ever reason the current owner find that is not possible to either resolve or wait then a RMA with the non-functioning motherboard is the logical outcome.
