The ASUS A8M2N-LA Nodus M-3-GL8E motherboard is considered a socket 939 or socket AM2 by HP. When upgrading CPU on this motherboard make sure it is the CPU with 939 pins and not the 940 pins CPU. AM2 CPU's 940 pins won't fit into a 939 socket.

As far as I know, the BIOS update only disables onboard video for NAOS boards (A8M2N-LA with 2 RAM slots). From what I can tell, the NodusM and NodusM3 boards are exactly the same excapt for the the BIOS tattooing for Vista or XP. So if you went from 3.10 to 5.07 on a A8M2N-LA with four slots, your onboard video should still work fine.

Hello, I have the ASUS A8M2N-LA originally packaged by HP in the Compaq SR2010NX model. I currently run a 64 x2 6400+. Wonder if there could be support for AM2+ or Phenom chipsets.
