Sep 22, 2016 · Asterisk has had support for WebRTC since version 11. A res_http_websocket module has been created which allows the JavaScript developers to interact and communicate with Asterisk. Support for WebSocket as a transport has been added to chan_sip to allow SIP to be used as the signaling protocol.

I'm rather new to Asterisk, and I need my server to support WebRTC. As far as I know, Asterisk version in Asterisk Now is compiled without SRTP support, which is necessary for WebRTC. So, I try to compile Asterisk 11.5.0 with SRTP on my Ubuntu server 13.04. I execute ./configure command with --with-srtp option. Here is this command:

Asterisk 1.8 has native support for SRTP. So you can easily try this with a Asterisk 1.8.x server. The normal SIP phones are not support for this system. You need to find SRTP supported and TLS supported IP/soft phones for setup this. Use blink soft-phone for this (http://www.icanblink.com). I followed following article to setup secure VoIP system.

Oct 08, 2019 · If you phone is already setup in EPM go rebuild the config for the extensions you want to use SRTP or TLS based on the settings you changed above and reboot the phones and they will now use SRTP and or TLS based on what you have defined in the extension page for each device.
