Apr 08, 2018 · The maufacturers of the soundcard dont have any drivers, they just say "use ASIO4ALL". It works fine. However, if I want to switch between my music application and (for example) WIndows 10 media player, I have to open manually the ASIO4ALL system tray app and manually switch off my soundcard and switch on the Windows stuff.

Nov 22, 2008 · I switched over to 003R and now I need the same thing: video sound through ASIO. VLC player support ASIO, and there's the ASIOWmpPlg on Sourceforge which is an ASIO driver for Windows Media Player, but either of them crashes my system as soon as I launch playback.

Feb 12, 2010 · The only reason for not incorporating it into the official release is a license issue for ASIO. But the mentioned sourceforge project for adding ASIO output to Windows Media Player is GPL, and foobar has a ASIO support as well. Why seems to be no license issue for them but for VLC?
