Jun 11, 2012 · Unfortunately Szabo, the renderers using Gpu (like arion render/octane and similar) mainly use cards that support CUDA. To give a good example, i managed to get a copy of Arion render from my friend (i actually doubt its legal, but its solely for experimental purposes so i dont feel guilty since they never made a demo).

Jul 16, 2009 · CUDA is part of the GPGPU (General Purposes GPU) but many other options also exists. Why Artlantis and Archicad are not using the full performances of new multicores processors ? 2009 was the 'quadcore' year but 2010 will go to 8 or 16..

Jan 18, 2015 · It's not so much processing power as much as memory capacity that they lack. High Polycount and detailed lighting environments entail a great deal of Memory usage and the problem with GPU rendering is that the whole model has to be loaded into Video Memory to process the render, although you'll find most GPU and Video cards have a Video Memory ceiling of about 4GB.
