Jul 23, 2014 · My IPhone 4 ( version 7.1.2) is recognised by my genuine, fully updated Win 8.1 , but, not recognised by the updated ITunes . I have downloaded the ITunes, and extracted ( using WinRAR) the AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi, . This file is being rejected, and cannot be installed. Made a repair, still refused to install.

Dec 06, 2012 · Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi (or AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi) to do a standalone AMDS install. (If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi again.)
