Mar 19, 2011 · First thing I did was update all the Mac software and OS. So tonight I'm trying to add a Windows partition to install XP. I get the same problem when trying to burn Windows support software to a CD or DVD. It just doesn't burn. And saying "just ignore" it seems counter to a warning from Apple not to use the OS X disc to get the drivers.

Apr 08, 2011 · I get to the screen in BootCamp Assistant where it asks me to download the specific software for my Mac that is designed to support Windows. I select the download option and it tells me, "download could not continue. The Windows support software is not available." I do have the original install disks, so i just checked that option and continued.
