About a week later I got my computer back with the hinge still broken and was told that it had been rejected. I am REALLY *****. My family currently has two MacBook Pros, a MacBook, a MacBook Air, two iPods and a iPad2 - we are LOYAL Apple customers.

Oct 26, 2012 · There's no way for the user to safely tighten the hinge on the MacBook Air. If the machine is less than two weeks old (which I suspect it is) you can return it, exchange it for another or use it as is.
