Nov 09, 2011 · I fully charged (100%) my brand new iphone 4s (ATT) at night and went to bed and woke up with 87% battery life remaining. I closed all background apps, reduced brightness to auto, minimum, and turned off location services for many apps.

Feb 13, 2013 · I'm having the same problem. The battery life on my iPhone 4S was fine with iOS 6.1, but is depleting quickly with 6.1.1. The iPhone is now constantly warm. I would normally go get home and have about 65% charge, it is barely 2 hours into the day and the phone is aleady at 65%.

Nov 12, 2011 · Early yesterday afternoon, I downloaded the iOS 5.0.1 update on my iPhone 4s. After installing, I watched my battery drain 10% in 40 minutes while doing nothing on the phone. This update does absolutely nothing for battery life. I am beginning to wonder if this is a hardware issue. A recall on these phones would be bad for Apple.

Jul 21, 2014 · I think a general rule of thumb with batteries is that they have an avg life of 3 years. I've had to support a lot of wireless industrial devices for many years and that's about all you get from any of the batteries in real life daily use. The 4s is now about 3 years old, so I am not surprised to hear a lot of battery life complaints at this point.
