I'm a newbie to Macs. If I hook up the 410 directly to the Mini, everything's fine, but that means I have no external drive. If I hook up the external drive by firewire, and attach the 410 to the external drive (stack), the 410 won't "hook up", won't sync with the Pro-Tools, just keeps blinking blue.

Oct 13, 2016 · So I contacted support again and after 4 hours they told me Windows is no longer going to support the Firewire adapter because it is obsolete. Apple still sells the Thunderbolt Firewire adapter and is supported on Mac, so it is not obsolete. I want to know why Windows will no longer provide an IEEE1394 driver for this device.
