Hello LinuxQuestions A few days ago I installed ubuntu and installed ATi (fglrx) with envy (i've done it manually too). I get direct rendering, but my compiz is very slow and I've not go Xgl installed because I've read that it slows everything down, and it is possible without Xgl.

Mar 24, 2008 · , I feel so stupid, I searched for "compiz (core) - Fatal: GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap is missing" and "GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap", I can't believe so few words can make so great a difference. But sadly, none of those worked. I remember compiz worked for a second, once, maybe it was before I installed fglrx.
