Anysee is a Korean manufacturer of DVB USB devices. It has been reported on the mailing list that Anysee has not been willing to help open source developers to write a Linux driver by handing out specifications (source?). Any further information on communication with Anysee would be welcome. Anyway, Reverse-engineering should be possible.

A DVB-C USB 2.0 device from Anysee.. Support for it is now (05/2008) merged to the mainline Linux-DVB tree.It is already working fine for most. The newest version of the E30C device is however not yet working, and would need someone with the device to step up on the mailing list and offer information/help so that also that version can be gotten to work.

Dec 19, 2009 · As long as Anysee support is not integrated in Linux and Ubuntu directly, the following commands can be used (in Applications -> Accessories -> Terminal) to install Anysee support. Note that this is an unofficial guide. You may copy and paste the commands below directly to the terminal.

Keep in mind however that if the license isn’t compatible with the Linux kernel or the quality of the code isn’t good enough, these will not become a part of the Linux kernel. E330 well with Tvheadend. Would need help from someone with the newest device.
