Go to File > Open File (not quick open) Load subtitles file When choosing the subtitle file, choose the idx and not the sub file (the person tells me that they're having no trouble choosing either, but the vlc userguide says idx) Ignore the font properties. Play.

Nov 30, 2013 · An idx file is an index file for a database. The actual data is probably being saved in the phone's database, which you can't "send" to anyone. All the information the idx file has is where the information sits in the database file. It's like the address on the envelope. Having that doesn't tell you what's in the letter.
