@James: Specifically for Android, there is no application which allows you to run VBA, but e-Droid-Cell Pro Spreadsheet which includes a "Macro" mechanism allowing to script the application. Although the Macro language is not compatible with VBA (Visual Basic Applications) it does allows for doing almost anything required by a Macro language.

Jan 21, 2020 · Regardless, it should still actually "see" the file. Whatever file browser app youre using doesn't know the sheet has macros, Polaris office will only know that after its been opened. I haven't tried a spreadsheet with macros yet, but I did have a problem with it not showing any formulas when using an xlsx (excel 2007) document.

Open Office is a great office suite that has its own object model and support for javascript, python and starBasic for macro scripting. I am far more comfortable coding with these dynamic language rather than with VBA and the horrible Microsoft Excel object model. Unfortunately many clients still use Excel on their workstation machines.
