It should say amd processor rather than generic processor. The driver name should have amd in it (amdk8.sys) and not just processor.sys or something generic. For mobile processors the correct name is PowerNow! not Cool 'n Quiet although I cannot recall if the zv5000z actually uses a mobile processor or a desktop processor. I believe it is mobile.

Ryzen and some earlier AMD processors have the Cool n Quiet feature, so I would imagine it is also available with Threadripper? I don't own an X399 board, but was asked about this in a conversation, and was told an X399 board owner did not find the Cool n Quiet option in his board's UEFI/BIOS.

AMD have declared in an official statement that they won't release new Cool'n'Quiet drivers as Windows Vista has the proper power management features in place. Make sure you have Cool'n'Quiet enabled in the BIOS and that you have installed the drivers from your motherboard manufacturer.

Jul 13, 2017 · Hi everyone, Been trying to find this via documentation and help on Overclock.net but they're no help. I searched around BIOS and cannot find it either. Reason why I am asking is that apparently AMD cool & quiet will cause stuttering in game and I've experienced this in PUBG, and Overwatch. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
