It does work with radeon driver but I need fglrx, since the main reason to choose a laptop with this videocard was OpenCL programming. I sold many AMD products in my life since the athlon XP but now i will not offers AMD products to any of my customers and if a customer wants AMD with linux i tell him that the support from AMD is not working. It is not always nvidia drivers fault, but in most cases with these new drivers it is. I've been using nvidia for years because of the bad experiences on AMD hardware, but now it looks like the tides have turned (performance and reliability).
