Post by rshol » Sun May 21, 2006 1:36 pm I got xmms-mp3 from Dag so that xmms plays mp3 and installed kdemultimedia-extras (which appears to come from CentOS extras) to fix noatune, but what package or group of packages do I need to install to get xine to play mp3's? I find instructions for FC5 but they don't work for me.

Jul 17, 2011 · Amarok runs perfectly in PC-BSD 8.2, and it was OK in Free BSD in previous releases I remember Amarok running OK in FreeBSD, at least in my system, previously to BSD 8.0. Now, using FreeBSD 8.0 there is the problem, long commented in these posts, that mp3 files cannot be played.

Feb 13, 2010 · some update (I think) broke amarok mp3 support and I can't get it back. Amarok still plays other media formats and other players do play mp3. When I try to start amarok in terminal and start any mp3 file (from collection or filesystem) the output is this:
