IGMP snooping is done by switches so they only send multicasts to ports where hosts actually want them.) I really doubt this is a biggie.. turn it on for Multicast when you use iTunes store or TV from netflix etc. See if it does anything .. !!

Can anyone help to set up my brand new Apple AirPort Extreme with the you view. I have enabled the IGMP as this seems to be the apple way of enabling multicast but still no TV channels. All other functions of the you view work, but not the multicast channels. Please help!

If a VLAN or VMAN is specified with the enable igmp snooping command, IGMP snooping is enabled only on that VLAN or VMAN. If no options are specified, IGMP snooping is enabled on all VLANs.

The problem was that the Airport Extreme router was configured to use the same range of IP addresses as the VPN, so while I was able to connect to the VPN there was some issues when trying to SSH into some of the servers where there was an IP conflict.
