May 10, 2010 · Make sure your kernel has agpgart support or has the agpgart module loaded (EE) intel(0): Couldn't allocate video memory. This happens when the file /etc/X11/xorg.conf is not present, which from what I understand means that it's "auto config." If I try to let Xorg create a configuration file, it still fails with similar messages.

Oct 01, 2008 · The video card I am using is a Intel 945 PCIE. I am wondering if I should enable /dev/agpgart (AGP Support) support in my kernel? It seems like if I don't install it, I will not be able to use some advanced graphical features. But my video card is a PCIE rather than a AGP. Even though, my intel graphics card is not listed in the /dev/agpgart list.
