An AGP-compatible driver must check incoming surfaces to see if they are in nonlocal or local display memory, and take the appropriate action. Blts from system to AGP (and vice versa) go through DirectDraw emulation layer as normal, unless a driver supports system-to-display memory blts (in which case it must support system-to-AGP transfers as well).

Dec 31, 2009 · There are 4670's available for AGP. They support DirectX 10.1. You will likely see a HD5000 series AGP release too. People said they wouldn't make AGP cards since the Nvidia 7 series and ATi X1K series. Yet somehow, 4 generations later they're STILL making them. The last high end AGP card released will probably be the HD3850.

Jan 06, 2011 · Does anybody have a known working solution for an AGP 8x Video Card for use in a Windows 7 system. I'm currently using an NVidia GeForce 6200 adapter, and the performance is not good. Previously I had an ATI Radeon 1850 and it was much better, but good luck finding an 1850 these days. Any other suggestions would be useful.

Nov 11, 2010 · XP machine with 3gig of RAM and 3Mhz P4 intel board with only PCI & AGP slots. The Win 7 licences were donated so the upgrade cost is minimal. Win7 7 upgrade advisor has ticked all the boxes bar the current graphics card which won't support Aero.
