Adobe RGB is worse than sRGB, swap back or change to ProPhoto. I appreciate the logic in your statement, but ProPhoto is the picture profile that gives the best results. Just make sure you’re embedding the “ProPhoto RGB) color profile during the “Save As” dialog box in photoshop.
