When I type acpi in the terminal I get: No support for device type: power_supply. But acpi is installed: #acpi -v gives me acpi 1.7. Somewhere else a similar problem was called rather a problem of upower, but as far as I can see there was no solution offered. I have Upower client version 0.99.04

However, I also had this problem with Windows 2000 pro as well. When I have installed the OS and the latest BIOS, critical updates, etc., there will be an 'unknown device' flagged in the device manager. It says that there are no drivers for it and: Device type - other devices ; Manufacturer - unknown ; Location - on Microsoft ACPI-Compliant system.
