May 01, 2013 · The problem I had was that a message appeared saying “acer webcam not found” when trying to load the crystal eye webcam software. To fix it, first download the latest acer crystal webcam application from the acer support site for your machine. Do not install yet, it wouldn’t let me anyway as it could not find the webcam needed to install.

Sep 01, 2013 · I bought an Acer Aspire V5-471G laptop with Windows 8 SL preinstalled. I reformatted it and downgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate x64. All drivers were intact except for the Web Cam! I went to the Acer Driver page and an Acer HD Crystal Eye driver is not listed for Aspire V5 - 471G.

Jun 09, 2010 · On Acer's advice, I've tried downloading the driver for the camera from the Acer support website but this doesn't work either (also there are 2 drivers 1 for Chycony and one for Suryin and I'm not sure which one I have to download or both?). I understand that this seems to be a common problem with Crystal Eye and Windows 7.
