Apr 11, 2010 · I have a Asus P5W DH Deluxe which is a 975X chipset motherboard. Asus has a bios update to support the 45nm processors, I am currently running a E8400 on my P5W DH. The only issue I have with the bios update, is the overclocking voltage it allows for the E8400 is 1.45V which is too high for my liking.

The fastest Quad Core Processor is the QX6800 [Extreme Edition Processor]. 45nm processors are not supported at all. You do not need to wait for other users that tell you they failed when they tried to use a 45nm processor.
