Nov 21, 2015 · The AF-S collar will not be useful on your push-pull lens, the 80-200 D was not designed for a normal tripod collar. Kirk Enterprises makes/made a support for the push-pull that may work, otherwise, the 80-200 D is an excellent pro-level lens.

Jan 03, 2004 · I would not want to hang an 80-200 attached to a camera body off a tripod when it was the body mounted on the tripod. Even if the lens mount can stand the weight, there will be enough flex in the system to allow the end of the lens to move, no matter how tightly the tripod is connected to the body.
