Mar 30, 2017 · Original title: Windows 10 unable to recognize 160 GB iPod Classic as an iPod. I upgraded to Windows 10 a while ago and have not had any major problems. However, I have an infrequently used iPod Classic (160GB) and I use it to backup my music collection, which currently stands at about 25,000 tunes.

Jan 02, 2018 · It's the Classic 160GB (the best iPod ever). The iPod shows up in the System Report as a USB device. It also shows up on the desktop as a volume. Clearly the Mac recognizes it as an iPod and a working USB device. iTunes refuses to show it in the list of devices. In a chat with Apple support, I was told my iPod is no longer supported.
