Aug 21, 2008 · The latest version of Abode camera raw (ACR) will not run with CS2 any more. It only runs with PS-CS3 and with PS-Elements6. The best you can do is to download the latest DNG-converter from Adobe, and convert the raw files from the 40D to DNG. These should work with the latest ACR version that supports CS2.

Nov 09, 2007 · As most of us who have a new 40D and Photoshop CS2 have figured out, Adobe has not updated their raw plug-in to recognize 40D raw files. An update for Photoshop CS3 is available via Adobe’s site, but they have not created an update for those of us still using CS2.

Oct 07, 2008 · I think you did a good job of summing it up yourself, and took the appropriate steps to get the job done. CS2 (the older PS application) can't open the raw files from the 40D (a newer camera).
