Oct 29, 2007 · As for the work the support staff do, I'm not sure that being a chef for 21 or 23 SAS is hugely different to being a chef elsewhere in the TA. Anybody that knows better - pls correct me. If you're really keen to be in a front line unit, why not join your local infantry unit?

Oct 01, 2012 · The specific trades required in support of SAS(R) are: Drivers, Chefs, Vehicle Mechanics and Clerical staff willing to transfer to the units. Medical Staff are also required however they must have either previous military service with qualifications to CMT1 level or a civilian who holds a national qualification in emergency response or nursing.
