    Oct 22, 2012 · Stuck with removing the top 18mm bolt. Is it threaded to the transmission case in two locations? I loosened the top one then removed the bottom 18mm bolt no problem. Then when back to the top one, I loosened until it hit tranny case, then it just spins. I can't seem to re seat the started on the transmission to correctly align the top bolt.

Limp mode results in the transmission operating only in 1st and 3rd gear, with upshifts at about 4000 rpm. Our 2001 AEG with 01M automatic transmission went into limp mode and showed OBD code P0722.
